Data Privacy Policy (Recruiting)
Data protection and the private sphere of applicants, employees and users are very important to Onefootball GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “Onefootball”). The gathering and use of your personal data takes place exclusively within the framework of the statutory provisions of applicable data protection laws. By means of this data privacy policy, Onefootball is providing information concerning the processing of personal data of its recruiting platform.

2 Area of applicability
This data privacy policy applies to Onefootball’s recruiting platform and websites that provide the functionality to apply for jobs at our company.

3 Processing of personal data
Personal data is processed, if you simply access our website (information related use) and if you enter data or click on buttons (use with interaction / job application). Optionally you can use the feature “Apply with LinkedIn” as explained below.
Personal data is information relating to factual or personal relationships of a defined or definable natural person. Above all, this includes information which allows your identity to be traced, for example name, address or email address or also favourite team.
Statistical data, which we gather during a visit to our apps for example and which cannot be connected to you, does not fall under the definition of personal data.
3.1 Information related use
In case of simple information related use of the website, i.e. if you have not logged in and do not transfer other information to us, we do not gather any personal data. Data your browser transmits automatically might be logged by Greenhouse, for more information, see their Privacy Policy.
3.2 Use with interaction / Job application
When applying via the Onefootball recruiting platform, you have to enter mandatory personal data in order to submit your application. If you apply via email or are referred by a current Onefootball employee, we may request you to submit the mandatory personal information via email or by filling out a form. This includes name, email, your phone number, location, start date, desired salary, and the information how you have heard about the job. Together with this data, you have to attach your resume/CV and cover letter to your application. If you like, you can also enter your motivation to join Onefootball or apply with LinkedIn (see Point 3.3).
The application data will be transmitted to Onefootball’s personnel department and used exclusively for the purpose of the application procedure. This also includes contacting you. The data is deleted no later than six months after sending a rejection letter. In the application process, we ask you if you allow us to save your application for more than 6 months and add you to our applicants’ pool. You can revoke your consent at any time and contact us vial hr@onefootball.com. In any case, your application will be deleted after one year after being rejected. The legal basis for processing your application documents is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b and Art. 88 para. 1 DSGVO in conjunction with § 26 para. 1 sentence 1 BDSG.
3.3 Apply with LinkedIn
The “Apply with LinkedIn” feature allows you to apply for jobs at Onefootball using your profile of the social network LinkedIn, a service of LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Ave., Sunnyvale, California 94085, USA (“LinkedIn”).
When you click “Apply with LinkedIn” you can choose to submit your full LinkedIn profile including work experience, education, skills and recommendations to Onefootball together with you email address, postal address, telephone number and linked accounts. If you choose to use this feature, you do not have to manually enter your application data. The legal basis for transferring your data from LinkedIn to Onefootball is your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a GDPR.
You can stop the synchronization between LinkedIn and LinkedIn’s cooperation partner in the LinkedIn settings. In cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, LinkedIn has undertaken to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield. The purpose and scope of the data gathering by LinkedIn, as well as the further processing and use of your data there and your rights and settings for the protection of your private sphere in this respect can be found in the information about Applications Data Use and the Privacy Policy of LinkedIn.
4 Disclosure of personal data
In principle Onefootball does not pass your personal data on to third parties. The data gathered by us is only passed on to third parties, if this is necessary to provide the technical functionality of the websites or another legal basis for the disclosure of data exists. Personal data may only be used by our service providers in order to fulfil their tasks. These were carefully selected by us and engaged in writing. They are subject to our instructions and are regularly monitored by us. Other use of the information is not permitted and is not carried out by any of the service providers used by us.
Your application data is passed to the service provider of our recruiting platform Greenhouse Software Inc., 110 Fifth Ave., 3d. Fl., New York, NY 10011, USA (“Greenhouse”). In cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, greenhouse has undertaken to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield and additionally, the so-called "standard contractual clauses" have been agreed with Greenhouse, which you can view in the information sheet of the European Communities. Onefootball uses Greenhouse as a recruitment tool in order to help its recruitment and hiring process. If you want to know more about Greenhouse, please see their Privacy Policy.
Alongside the service providers listed separately in this data privacy policy, data may be disclosed to categories of recipients, i.e. to hosting and emailing service providers, as well as to external advisors and enforcement authorities.
5 Cookies
Cookies are small files which are saved on your data carrier and which save certain settings and data for the exchange with our system via your browser. Cookies cannot start any programmes or transfer viruses to your computer. The purpose of cookies is to make the Internet service more user friendly and effective overall.
If you visit our individual job boards on greenhouse.io, the only cookie that is enabled is a technical cookie (bf_visit) that counts the visitors on this site and expires after 30 minutes.
6 Your rights
You have the right to information about the processing of your personal data by us at any time. In this context we will explain the data processing to you and provide you with an overview of the data stored about you. If data stored by us is incorrect or no longer current, you have the right to have this data corrected. You can also request the deletion of your data. If, in exceptional cases, deletion is not possible due to other legal regulations, the data will be blocked - provided the necessary conditions are met - so that it is only available for this legal purpose. You can also have the processing of your personal data restricted if, for example, you doubt the accuracy of the data. Under certain conditions, you also have the right to data transferability, i.e. that we send you upon request a digital copy of the personal data you have provided us with. In order to assert your rights described here, you can contact us at any time using the contact details given above. This also applies if you wish to receive copies of guarantees to prove an adequate level of data protection.
Your inquiries regarding the assertion of data protection rights and our answers to them will be kept for documentation purposes for a period of three years and in individual cases for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims even beyond this period. The legal basis is Art. 6 Paragraph 1, f.) GDPR, based on our interest in defending against any civil law claims under Art. 82 GDPR, avoiding fines under Art. 83 GDPR and fulfilling our accountability under Art. 5 GDPR.
You have the right to revoke a consent previously provided to us at any time. The consequence of this is that we will no longer process your data in relation to that consent in the future. The revocation of the consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the revocation.
If we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing of your data at any time for on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object to data processing for direct marketing purposes, you have a general right of objection, which we will implement without requiring you to state your reasons for objecting. If you wish to exercise your right of revocation or objection, simply send an informal message to the contact details listed above.
Finally, you have the right to complain to the regulatory authority responsible for data. You can exercise this right at the regulatory authority in the member country of your place of residence, your place of work, or the place in which the violation allegedly took place. In Berlin, where the registered office of Onefootball is located, the regulatory authority is: the Berlin Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer, Friedrichstrasse 219, 10969 Berlin. 7 Changes to the data privacy policy
